An Embodied Understanding of Movement

As a trainer I bring fifteen years of experience in professional ballet, I have an understanding of movement through the lens of expression both psychologically and emotionally. And having lived the experience as an athlete, I am familiar with injury prevention, recovery strategies, and the process of retraining proper bio-mechanics.
Along with my unique perspective as an athlete and dancer, I will be acquiring further certificates and honing my knowledge with purpose and excitement. I'm looking forward to further study in pain reprocessing, assisted stretching, trigger point, and active release technique as a compliment to my background in strength training.
My goal is to guide you towards greater movement freedom and retrain mobility to enhance daily life. My approach involves three dimensional movement patterning that involves all planes of movement and carries over to skills shown to improve physical function, posture, and balance. I enjoy pulling from my experience as a dancer to keep exercises dynamic and fluid.
Additionally. I am confident working with weight loss related goals, overall improvement of skeletal muscle mass, improving body composition, and strengthening and stretching to prevent future injury. I have a strong understanding of pre-hab and post-hab exercise especially following orthopedic surgeries or injuries. I work intimately with our entire team including our physical therapists to ensure exercise programming is safe and effective.
